厚顏無恥

這世界上小Hac最愛的地方便是媽的大腿，柔軟、溫暖、安全。

每當見到媽坐在電腦前工作，我便會一聲不響地跳上媽的腿準備午睡。

「喂，你很重啊！」甚麼甚麼，我聽不到啊，我要睡。

一隻手用力推著小Hac的屁股。「喂，真的很重啊，你聽不到嗎，人家在工作，你在搞甚麼鬼。」怎麼嘛，人家不是而說過要睡嗎？這裡最舒服的了，你老人家的腿勝在肉地好。啊呀，打個啊欠，伸一伸懶腰，再牢牢的抱著媽的大腿，就像抱枕一樣。

「你看你，醜樣死了！」說甚麼？我只當耳邊風，呼嚕呼嚕的扯起鼻鼾。

就憑這點厚顏無恥，我一直獨佔了媽的大腿。

Scare of Heights

我們總怕過一些事情，怕得膽戰心驚、怕得毛髮直豎。

怕失足，怕受傷，怕跌倒。

到真的跌下來了，便發現，既然已到了最差的時候，也只好豁出去，反正輸無可輸，前面就只有贏的。

一口氣走下去，或許有一天會感謝有這最差的機會，或許有一天會明白原沒甚麼可怕。

Let's get some fresh air

天氣好的時候，我們會讓女皇到後院走走。

那綠色的小花園是女皇的Secret Garden，撲殺昆蟲、咬咬野草，也許，只有這短短的時刻，她才能回味以往在街上自由自在的日子，暫時忘掉自己是被馴服的家貓。

每當想到家貓失卻自由，心頭不期然的湧起一陣內疚。然而我也明白在冰天雪地的多倫多，貓兒要在戶外流浪，生存，是困難的。

被送到愛護動物協會的，僥倖的會被有心人收養，剛出生的小貓機會總好些，年老色衰的，恐怕逃不過被put to sleep的厄運。像Nana，在街上流浪了一段日子後被送到愛護動物協會，憑著精靈美貌，找到人家，可惜與那家人養的另一隻貓性格不合，很快被送返愛護動物協會。若不是剛好與我一見如故，以她當時7個月大的年紀，恐怕因乏人問津而被……想到這裡，又怎能怪我偏心多疼Na多一點呢？

貓吻，是用頭輕輕的頂著你的頭。

要多加兩錢肉緊，小腦袋便慢慢地磨動，我很愛你、我很愛你，牠說。

有時候會蜻蜓點水的，用鼻尖碰一碰你的鼻尖，給你一點甜頭。

像

養貓的人，慢慢會發覺，自己的脾氣、動靜、表情也會跟貓兒愈來愈像。

究竟，是貓裝人或是人裝貓？牠是主人還是我是主人？

想這麼多又幹嗎？倒不如一人一貓來個舒適的午睡最實際。

New Toy!!!

Just got this new cat condo from wal-mart, only $23 and it was GREAT!!! Na and Hac is totally loving it!!!

It's a two storey cat condo, there's an opening to each storey, kitty can climb from first floor to second. There's also a toy mouse attached to the ceiling of the condo, and it was really really securely attached, as the queen is having a hard time pulling the mouse off the ceiling...lol

Menu Food CFO sold half of his share before the recall

The Recall starts in mid-march and the company knew about the contaminated back in early Feb, yet, Menu Food CFO sold half of his share in less than 3 weeks before the massive recall, hm....do you smell something fishy?

Cat Food Phobia

It has been a few weeks since the start of Menu Food recall, and most disappointingly, things have NOT clear up but become more and more of a mess.

At first, FDA declares the toxin responsible for various death of pets is aminopterin, a rat poison used in foreign contry, that is found in the wheate gluten imported from China. Later, FDA says that toxin is question is not aminopterin, but melamine, a chemical found in plastic. So, why would FDA announced it was aminopterin in the beginning? They didn't explain. Was it just simply a mistake in the analysis? Does it mean aminopterin is not present in the wheat gluten? Or does it solely mean that aminopterin is not responsible for making the pets suffer from acute renal failure(even tho certain amount of aminopterin may still exist)?

Days after days, more and more pet food/ treats enter the recall. Death count is yet increasing. From can food to dry, more and more is being recalled, among which includes the most popular, world renowned brands such as Hill's Science Diet, Iams, Purina... Even Hill's Prescription Diet m/d is being recalled. I would very much like to know the opnion of the countness number of vets out there who's absolutely in love with these companies, and I would like to hear the explanation from vets who have been telling consumers that Hill's Prescription Diet is so strictly controlled and tested to ensure the premium quality of their product ideal for sick pets.

Yet, this is not the end of the disturbing news. Purina, a non-Menu Food brand, has entered the recall. Apparently, ChemNutra, the company which imported the wheat gluten from china, has sold the wheat gluten to 3 pet food manufacturers, among them one is Menu Foods. FDA refused to identy the remaining two manufacturers, and thus leaving cosumers clueless to avoid possibily contaminated pet food.

One may argue that non-recalled, wheat gluten free brands should not be boycotted just because they are manufactured at Menu Foods, however, it's really down to individual judgement to trust the non-recalled food are indeed safe, given that they share the same machine used to manufacture the recalled food. How much trust you do you have for the workers to completely and thoroughly clean and disinfect the machines in between making different brands/types? Don't foget Menu Foods makes more than 90 brands and each brand has several different flavours / types.

As the original recall start out from cuts in gravy style can / pouches and later expanded to dry food and treats, while more and more brands being involed; from contamination of aminopterin to melamine, to FDA's newest suspicion of melamine being deliberately added to the wheat gluten to rasie the protein level of gluten, who could tell us what is safe? And what other dreadful news is awaiting the already worried-sick and panicky pet owners?

The question is, why does it take FDA so long to identify the problem? What kind of quality control they have to regulate the pet food industry in order to allow such a mass contamination take place?

Meanwhile, for me, I chosed to be a menu-phobic and stay away from all the Menu Food products.

可能因為我最近常常「消失」於廁所照顧「不知名的外來入侵者」，阿八近日對我份外痴纏。除了每天晚上跟著我睡，就連日間我坐著用電腦時，他們要坐在我身旁，用手抱著我的大腿。

阿八的舉動出乎我的意料，因為從小他甚麼都無所謂，沒想到他會為新來的小貓揣測不安。不過他向來溫馴，相信當我放小貓出來跟他玩，他便會無事了。幸運的是因為小貓的來臨，我和阿八的關係比以前親密得多，看來全無血性的恭攻克並非真的全無血性，而是全無血色喜怒不形於色罷了。
